Be seen in your practice

Portrait sessions for yoga practitioners

in studio, in nature, or wherever your practice takes you.

Most yoga photography captures the shape of a pose. What I'm after is something different — the feeling of being in it. The breath. The effort. The moment when the body finds its edge and something in the face changes.

I've practiced yoga for over twenty years. I know what it feels like from the inside, and that changes how I photograph it. In a portrait session I'm not just pointing a camera at you — I'm paying attention to what's happening, and I know what to look for. Clients often tell me that what stays with them isn't just the images. It's the experience of being truly witnessed in their practice — seen, fully, by someone who understands what they're doing and why it matters.

Sessions are collaborative. I'll guide you into poses that suit your body and your practice, and we'll find the images together. Most people are surprised by what comes back.

Choose your session

Studio

$600

We work in my studio in North Boulder with sculpted, controlled light. A quiet enclosed space where we can take our time and shape the images carefully. Best for practitioners who want dramatic, refined portraits.

Nature

$500

We find a location outside that feels like yours — somewhere you feel at home in your body and your practice. I bring portable lighting so we're not at the mercy of the weather. Boulder and Denver have no shortage of extraordinary places.

Art

$500

An open invitation to co-create something less about portraiture and more about creative expression. If you have a vision — a concept, a location, a mood — bring it. This is where we push into territory that surprises both of us.

What to expect

We'll talk before the session about your practice, what you love about it, and what you're hoping to capture. That conversation shapes everything — the location, the poses, the mood.

On the day, plan for one to two hours. Bring two or three outfits if you have them — different looks give us more to work with. I'll guide you through poses and sequences, and I'll tell you when something is working. Most people relax quickly once we're moving.

You'll receive your edited images within two weeks, delivered digitally. Every session includes a minimum of 20 final edited images. If you want prints, I can point you to excellent options.
